Welcome back blues lovers! This is part 2 of my coverage of the Hudson River Park's Blues BBQ in New York. Today I am featuring photos of Eddy 'The Chief' Clearwater and Michael Burks. The Chief was the 3rd act of the day and came on right around 5pm. Eddy is another guy I have never seen but like the other bands he was very enjoyable. Eddy had to be the happiest guy on the stage all day because he sure smiled a lot. He was clearly having a great time. Eddy is a
joy to photograph because he strikes a lot of great poses and has some interesting facial expressions. I think the name for that is 'guitar face'. Makes for some good photos!
The last performer of the day was Michael Burks. Michael's band was solid and it wasn't long before Michael was off the stage and mingling with the crowd, playing his guitar while the band kept the groove going. The crowd surely got a kick out of having Michael join them. All in all a very satisfying day of music. Each band brought their own little something to the stage. Yes, I am definitely looking forward to this event next year. I hope the photos give you all a sense of what a fun day it was and why live music is where it's at.
