Chicago Blues: Turkey Day by Gatorman

IT'S TURKEY DAY AND I LOVE TO EAT!

Today is Thanksgiving for the United States. This is a day that we all give our thanks for what we have. On this day I offer this thanks giving I offer the following to everyone. I give my thanks to all the great blues artist’s that have ever picked up a guitar, pounded a keyboard, pounded a skin stretched across a hollowed out piece of wood, anyone who is brave enough to sing, for when you do you reveal your soul. To anyone who has bent a note by blowing a breath through a small hand held Mississippi saxophone (harmonica). I thank all the behind the scenes people who have never mounted a stage, but perform their magic with publicity, marketing, recording, sound, lights and guidance. The blues is part of my soul and without everyone that makes it happen; I seriously do not know what I would be doing.

I also give a special thank you to everyone that’s involved with this blog. Our founder gets my kudos for sticking it out as long as he has.  Like all families we have our ups and downs, but the ups far out weight the downs.  Lastly I thank my family for without them I am nothing.

All of us would be nothing if not for one group of people. We call them the “fans”. They are the ones to be truly thankful for. Fans fill the seats and that in turn fills our hearts.

“To all a Good night”
