Greetings blues fans! This week I am featuring photos of the amazingly talented guitarist Sonny Landreth. I know Sonny has been around a long time but this was my first time seeing him perform. I have seen and heard a lot of guitar players in my days but I have never heard anyone that sounds like Sonny. I heard people talking before the show about his skills and how he was going to "blow you away" and boy, they weren't kidding! The band Indigenous opened the show and while guitarist Mato Nanji is no slouch on the guitar it became clear that the crowd was there for Sonny. If you've never experienced Sonny live do yourselves a favor and check him out. I dare say you'll be quite impressed.
